Remembering Clinton Allen

Sara Mokuria and I worked together and created a poster campaign that tells the stories and facts surrounding the killing of unarmed citizens at the hands of the Dallas Police Department. Most of the officers continue on the force without indictment or prosecution. 2018, was a district attorney race, and our goal was to engage citizens of Dallas to ask the candidates where they stood on police accountability. By honoring their story and sharing how it happened, we invite the public to see our sons and daughters, join us in demanding justice and accountability.

Co-Founder and collaborator Sara Mokuria gathered stories and memories from family members. Family members sent in cherished photos. We wanted to share their stories to celebrate and honor who they were, wanted to become, and denied their human right to survive a police encounter. Hand drew the foreground type in a love note style.

Clinton Allen was unarmed and shot 7 times by Dallas Police Officer, Clark Staller.

No Indictment.

No Prosecution.

Still on Dallas Police Force.
